I have a friend... the kind of friend that doesn't come along very often. You know the sort? She's the kind that can't be quantified by how long you've known them or how much time you've spent together. The kind that you love instantly simply because of the person they are, because they seem to like the person that you are. She is acceptance, she is love, she is beautiful inside and out.
When I was in the early months of pregnancy, and traveling to Asheville for my doctor's appointments, I would often drop Henry off at her house while I hurried over to see the doctor. Afterwards, she would send me home with homemade tomato soup and fresh bread. Even though she was also in the early months of pregnancy and felt, I'm sure, just as awful as I did. She's sincere, she's genuine. She's real.
And that is why I love Destinee Blau.
The exceptional bonus that comes on the side of having such an incredible friend is that she is a remarkably talented photographer. She's taken quite a few photos of my family - many that I've shared on the blog.

I cannot sing her praises enough. If you are local, and you need a photographer, you'd be missing out if you didn't consider Destinee. She's so fun to work with, and makes the experience of capturing family portraits so much fun. She shoots families, she does head shots, babies, births, weddings, engagement photos... and she's awesome.

beautiful... I keep putting off family photos hoping to look like a smokin' hot supermodel soon... (ha!) maybe what I really need is a photographer who can make me look good anyway?
