This is my baby. Crazy how much she’s grown, isn’t it?
Even though everyone kept insisting she would, she hasn’t actually lost any of her hair.
Quite the opposite, actually. It’s grown.
And it’s an absolutely utterly adorable mess.
I can’t get enough of her… Have I told you that? Really.
And neither can Sam.
The rest of them are doing well too…
We’ve been swimming a lot.
We’ve loved on our cousins, quite a bit.
And have been busy going about the simple business of getting older.
School starts soon. A fourth grader and two first graders, and me and the little ones at home. Funny how we can look forward to, and dread the passage of time all at once. It’s been a good summer.
One more for the road? (that’s all of us, 23 and counting…)

She is adorable! They all are. But that hair!!!! LOVE IT! Crazy how fast they all grow up isn't it! I just hate it and love it at the same time.
She seriously looks like she's wearing a toupee!
Oh, she is darling! I love the hair! Caleb grows hair like that, and I love it. Now if I could just have a girl with hair Garrett's shade of blond, and Caleb's ability to grow it long quickly, I'll be set. :)
She is so cute! I hate how they grow so fast. It is good to see them go out into the world, but somedays I wish I could just tell them to stop for a while.
Love her hair! Meanwhile I have a little baldy. She looks like a little Sam clone. I can't believe how big your kids are getting!
You better be careful; if Amber sees this post she'll be on the first plane to NC to scarf off with that baby! Dang, woman, those kids are cute. And I love that picture of the whole family. There's your cute mom, who I now know!
That hair is amazing! My kids' hadn't grown that much at that point, I must say.
And the downside of windows live writer is that I can't click on that last picture and see a bigger picture of your beautiful family. :(
She needs a perm! She is so stinking cute. All of those kids with their dimples.
Just pinchable!
You make really cute babies. And that is some mega hair!!
She sure fits in, looks-wise, with your other babies! She has more hair than both my almost 2-year old twins out together. I love it!
So darling!
My biggest headache with the kids right now is that my toddler loves his little sister "not wisely, but too well." Sigh. I know I'll miss it some day, but it's getting old, this pulling him off of her.
I miss her little face (and her huge gobs of hair!)
That filled my soul!!!!
So much hair - everyone said my little H's hair would fall out too - but it never did and she's now an eight year old with more hair than anyone knows what to do with... ah, the joy of girls :)
Such a cutie! Love the hair, but those cheeks are so kissable!
I have a four year old girl and her hair still isn't as thick as Ivy's! She has beautiful hair. I love it. And I agree she is Sam's clone.
Such a warm, smile inducing post. Especially the hair. Claira is practically bald by comparison!
I think she looks like your sister (never really knew her, but she was a couple of grades ahead of me--a senior a freshman idolized in music and drama)! I wonder if her hair will curl?
Love Hairy babies - all of mine were blessed with an abundance of hair as well.
You wee one is precious and I'm a bit sad my youngest is nearing 5 years old. Missing the baby stage.
She is a beauty! And your other kids all have such a similar look. Great-looking group!
My ten year old doesn't have that much hair! I'm only just getting to your blog from CBC. I loved the uplifting story you shared and really needed to hear it. Thank you.
She is so stinkin' cute! Etta had hair like that too, and we were told she'd lose it all, but she didn't! Thank heaven! It is so fun to have a baby girl with hair!
All the kids are just so cute! And it is so fun to see all your family, I miss your mom and sis, y'all are some of my favorite people!
I was cruising and catching up on your blog and stopped in my tracks at the picture of your beautiful baby! The reason why it caught me so off guard is that she looks so much like my own daughter when she was a baby - they could be twins, it is uncanny! My daughter is now 22, beautiful and a married woman.
Congratulations on having such a beautiful little girl and thank you for giving me a sweet memory!!
What an adorable family!
You know I love Ivy. When I saw her picture, my heart just squeezed. You were so wonderful to share her snuggliness with me and she is such a beautiful baby. She has a special place in my heart.
great pictures!!! I love it when you post pictures! your kids are getting so big!!!
Looks just like your mom!
